NeuroVir facility seeks to generate customized viral vectors optimized for research projects in neuroscience. It aims at producing recombinant adeno-associated viruses (rAAV) and neurotropic viruses (in particular the rabies virus) for gene transfer experiments in a wide variety of research models (in vitro and in vivo; rodents and non-human primates).

Services/Expertise:

• Production and concentration of viral particles: rAAV and rabies viruses

• User advice: serotypes, pseudotyping, choice of promoters, etc

• Design and production of plasmid constructs

• Validation of in-house generated tools (plasmids or viral vectors) using molecular and cellular biology techniques, and/or stereotaxic injection of viral vectors

• Research and development in particular to optimize viral vectors used in non-human primates

Technical approaches

• Production, purification and concentration of viral vectors

• Design and engineering of recombinant rAAV
