DETAILED ACTIVITIES :
  • Career path :
I started my career 19 years ago after passing an external Aix-Marseille University (AMU) competitive examination as a research engineer.
For 11 years I worked on a platform where I simultaneously managed several gene invalidation projects, from the construction of plasmid vectors to the production of genetically modified mice, including the culture and screening of embryonic stem cells from mutated mice.
Then I focused my career on more fundamental aspects. I joined the Institut de Neurosciences de la Timone (INT) in 2016 where I worked in several research teams (Sonic, CANOP and CoPhyBaG).
  • Main activities :
I joined CoPhyBaG team in January 2024. This research team uses a translational approach, from rodents and non-human primates to Parkinson’s patients and drug users, to gain a better understanding of the role of the basal ganglia in motivation during normal or pathological behaviour.
I bring my expertise in molecular biology to various projects and initiate collaborations through my professional network.
  • Cross-disciplinary activities :
From 2019, I wanted to get involved in my institution’s decision-making. I have been elected to the AMU Research Commission (2019-2027) to represent the ITA/BIATSS technical staff. Working in a joint research unit, I also extended my curiosity to understanding how the CNRS works. I was therefore elected to the CNRS National Committee (CoNRS) in section 26 dedicated to neuroscience (2021-2025). I am also involved in the INT Gender Equality Committee and an AMU trainer to raise staff awareness of gender bias in the workplace.
