“’Optimal storage properties of cortical networks’”
Vendredi 3 Juin à 14h30
Salle Gastaut, INT, Campus Santé Timone
Dr Gianluigi Mongilo is mostly interested in understanding the collective dynamics of large neuronal networks by using concepts and tools from statistical physics. He is currently focusing on structural synaptic plasticity and its impact on network’s storage capacity.
Dr Mongilo received his M.Sc. degree in Physics (in 2000) and Ph.D. degree in Neurophysiology (in 2005) from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Rome, Italy. he has been postdoctoral fellow at the GATSBY Unit (UCL, London, UK), at the École Normale Supérieure (Paris, France), at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Jerusalem, Israel) and at the École de Neurosciences de Paris Île-de-France (Paris, France). Since 2009, he was appointed research scientist at the CNRS.
